Ten years ago the world lost Mitch Hedberg. He was just beginning to emerge from a cult comic to a bona fide sensation when his life ended at the age of thirty-seven. He was found in a hotel room in Livingston, NJ. Dead from a cocaine and heroin cocktail that put strain on his long term heart problems.
The legend of Hedberg has only grown since his death, his act memorized by a generation of comedy fans, video clips with millions of hits, fan art, posthumus albums, all making him just as relevant (if not more) today as he was when he was alive. Comedians and fans have said amazing things about Mitch’s life, but the one constant through them all keeps coming back to is just how funny he was.
